Which area is the ApartHotel in?
We are located on the fringe of the Northern Quarter, behind Piccadilly Gardens next to the main shopping street (Market Street) and the Arndale Centre.
How far are you from the train stations?
We are a 10 minute walk from both Manchester Victoria and Piccadilly railway station.
Where is the nearest Metrolink?
From North Manchester the nearest metrolink is at Market Street outside Primark/Debinhams.
From South Manchester the nearest metrollink is at Piccadilly Gardens.
How far are you from the Manchester Arena?
We are a 10 minute walk from the arena, or a short taxi journey.
How far is MMICC & Manchester Central?
We are a 10 minute walk from the complex, or a short taxi journey.
What are your check in/out times?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is prior to 11am.
We have at least one team member onsite 24/7. The reception desk is maned between 06:00 – 00:00hrs, outside of these hours our team maybe in other areas of the ApartHotel but are easily contactable should you require assistance.
Can I arrange an early check-in?
Early arrival maybe possible, this will depend on the occupancy the night prior. When you arrive if the apartment is available reception will check you straight in, if however the apartments are unavailable there is a small luggage store by reception guests are able to use, until the apartments become available.
Can I arrange a later check-out?
Late check-out can be booked (subject to availability) this is chargeable at £35.00 for each additional hour up until 2pm, later check-outs from 2pm onwards will be charges at the daily room rate.
We’re unable to guarantee in advance if an early check-out is possible as it will depend on the occupancy of your departure date. The earliest time we would be able to advise will be the date of your arrival.
What deposit do I have to pay?
The Light ApartHotel requires a preauthorisation of a debit/credit card upon check-in to cover any incidentals which you may incur during your stay. The amount authorised is £200.00 per apartment and £400.00 per penthouse suite. Upon your departure a member of the housekeeping and maintenance team will check your apartment; providing any/all incidentals have been settled for at check-out the authorisation will be released back to you.
When will the preauthorisation be returned?
The pre-authorisation fund is not held by the hotel, the company who provide the credit card terminals or by our bank. The pre-authorisation fund is held on your card by your own issuing bank. Upon departure the pre-authorisation should be released automatically, if not you will need to contact your card provider or bank. Some card issuers and banks can take up to 10-15 working days to release the hold they have on your funds.
Can you smoke in the apartments?
The Light is a non smoking building. Smoking is permitted on the balconies, however smoking in the rooms is not permitted and a charge of £250 will be levied if this rule is not adhered too.
What do I do if something is missing or damaged in the apartment on my arrival?
You must report this immediately to reception so it can be noted and corrected.
Can I have guests in the apartment?
A maximum of two guests maybe signed in at reception before 11pm. Noise must be kept to a minimum, any disturbances are chargeable where other guests are affected. Regular patrols are conducted and any breaches of the peace are dealt with immediately.
All non-residents must vacate the premises prior to 11pm.
Do you have a Gym?
As a guest at The Light you will receive free access to our gym, located on the first floor in the main building. After a long day at the office, or a busy shopping spree, exercise your body and mind. The gym has state of the art equipment plus the added advantage of free weights and a boxing area, not often seen in most hotel gyms.
Do you have a Restaurant & Bar on-site?
The Light is a self-catering serviced apartment, each apartment has there own food preparation area. Being located in the city centre, your close to a wide variety of restaurants. The Light has The Lounge Bar which offers a vast champagne and wine selection, premium spirits with continental measures and a selection of seasonal cocktails.
Do you accept pets?
We accept assistance animals only.
